Tracking Ingredients with the Rack Editor

In the Rack Editor, you can define the ingredients you currently have on the dispensing deck of your dispensing robot. If you don't have an ingredient scanner on your dispensing robot, it’s important that you use the Rack Editor to keep track of the ingredient racks.

To Define Ingredients with the Rack Editor:

  1. Open the Dispensing tab by double-clicking the Dispensing node on the Explorer.
  2. Right-click in the Run Queue and select Rack Editor. The Rack Editor dialog box displays.
  3. Right-click in the Racks table and select Rack Types.
  4. Optional: If you have not yet defined the rack type, you must add rack types before you can proceed. Define one or more rack types by right-clicking in the Racks table and selecting Add. Type a name for the rack, the number of columns or rows, select a type, and type the volume and dead volume. Then, click OK.
  5. Right-click in the Racks table and select Add.
  6. Type a name for the rack in the Rack Name box.
  7. Select the rack type from the Rack Type list. Click in the rack type box and then click the down-arrow to display the list.
  8. Right-click a rack type on the Racks table and select Place on Deck. The rack appears in the Deck table.
  9. Click in the Site Name box and enter the name of the site.
  10. To edit the ingredients of the rack, right-click the rack and select Rack Ingredients.
  11. When finished, click OK on the Rack Editor window.
